Engineering solution
Feasibility screening before detailed CAD and CFD.
Reduce weak geometry iteration by choosing a defensible first bearing and rotor direction before expensive modelling begins.
The engineering question
Which candidate deserves detailed CAD, CFD and testing—and what must those stages prove?
Inputs
- Performance requirement
- Allowed support architecture
- Available machine envelope
- Loads, speed and gas supply
- Known manufacturing limits
- Detailed-analysis decision target
Outputs
- One or more screened candidates
- Rejected-candidate reasons
- Static and rotor consequence summary
- Assumption and evidence record
- CAD/CFD/test acceptance questions
Decision boundary
The screen does not claim final accuracy for every multiphysics effect. Its purpose is to improve candidate quality and reduce undirected detailed iteration.
Typical commercial route
The Feasibility Screen is the default route. A deeper Pilot is used when several candidates, complete machine configuration or validation planning must be developed.
Bring one defined requirement.
Start with a non-confidential fit check.
